Cooking Emissions

Starting in January of 2024, I have been assisting with a project on non-traditional air pollution sources, specifically analyzing compounds associated with cooking emissions.

Indoor air quality and aerosol-phase cooking emissions have been studied in depth, but there is a large gap in knowledge on gas-phase emissions from this novel source. The goal of this project is to expand upon past analyses and urban field studies of such emissions to understand the relationship between these compounds and environmental conditions so that the true fate of these sources can be analyzed in future work.
